You don't need to buy the copper cooler. The stock one works really well and with the Quiet & Cool turned on it's really quiet.

The 90nm CPU runs very cool.

You don't need SLI for a server.

What are you going to run that would require 2 Gigs of RAM?

I would not recommend the 7700 Zalman.
If you like the design, the 7000 works nearly as well but is significantly quieter.
On a64 CPUs I like the AC Freezer64 cooler the best.

If you just need video the nVidia 6200 series (which shares system RAM) is a very good performer for minimal cost.

I have a 3000+ running 24/7 under full load (folding) and have been for almost a year. Stock cooler and the fan is @2000 RPM (Quiet and Cool controlled) and it runs 40 to 45 C depending on room temps.

Your CPU comes with that cooler.

Thank you, I'll see how the price goes and decide what to use in the end, might go with the stock, but for the motherboard what should I change it to?

    Here are 2 more boards:

I didn't post these because they have small fans for the chipset. I had noticed that your mobo choice didn't have a fan but had a passive cooler.
