Man. I didnt get a chance to try it today becuase i was too focused on finishing the assigment.
Ill have to write that one down.
The funny thing is even the teachers are now complaing that alot of sites are blocked.
Ya, i hated that at my old school.Originally Posted by twisterX
In my high school no sites are blocked you jsut cant download anything, unless you know the admin password.
Bigger annoyance is that i want to use firefox at school instead of IE cause the IE is setup really shitty and it's slow, but for some reason all .exe files in your student folder disappear every few days.

hahaha thats awesome i wish i was that cool but im only a freshy
well there are alot of ways to do this. my school also has this bullshit SurfControl program and i have figured out a couple of things:
1. subscribe to www.stupidcensorship.org, people set up proxy sites and the new site URL gets sent to you
2. if you access a proxy site outside of the SurfControl internet area and DO NOT CLEAR YOUR WEBSITE HISTORY and usually you are able to re-acceses the site while using the surfcontrol controlled internet.
and 3. i haven't tried this one out yet but apparantly if you type an extra period after .com (so www.blah.com. ) it can somehow bypass it.
i would like to see something really bad happen to them because this program is the 2 fists up the student body's ass of my school.
get a free website host (with http uploads preferably) or use the webspace your isp probably gives you, then you could upload/download to that, dunno how much this surfcontrol thing blocks tho...
