I have never looked to anyone to be a role model but there are people who have character that is beyond admirable.
40 years ago a black woman refused to give up her seat on a bus for a white man. Was she tired after a long days work?, yes, but she would probably have given her seat to an elderly person that needed it more. No her tiredness was at injustice. Injustice that was unconstitutional and immoral.
There was a thread that was moved to the lounge asking what makes America great....... My answer is individuals like Rosa Parks, who should never have been in that situation to begin with.

    Rosa Parks 1913-2005 RIP.

it’s an election with no Democrats, in one of the whitest states in the union, where rich candidates pay $35 for your votes. Or, as Republicans call it, their vision for the future.

She lived to a good age, a sad time tho'.

Her courage has been well documented at regular intervals since I can remember, however, one never tires of hearing of the incident and its huge significance.

    RIP, indeed.
I plan on beating him to death with his kids. I'll use them as a bludgeon on his face. -

Black Americans were more united back then...for obvious reasons.

She kept her dignity in spite of the callowness of the black "spokesmen" who invoke her name since Dr. King was killed.

An icon in the mold of Jackie Robinson.

    RIP, Rosa.
