Thread: Any way to zip down fear 4.12 gbs down to enough to burn onto a cd?

    Is there anyway i can burn the game torrents i download to a normal cd?

    or anyway to back up the 4.12gb torrent i need those gbs for games!

    That's 5.8 times the capacity of a CD.

    Get a DVD burner. They are inexpensive now.

    You could split up the files on the DVD to individual CDs?

    You need to only download the games that are called dvd-rips. They are made to fit on a cd-r.

    I will second VB mention of buying a dvd burner. I got a nice one from newegg for 45 bucks, actually, I think its the one that VB recommended, an NEC 3540, and its nice

    vb is right. buy a dvd burner. that one on newegg is pretty cheap. i got my 16x burner with dl for $50 last year. and 3 months ago i bought a dvd ram burner for $44. i still have to decide if i should use that or sell it. hmmm

    If you dont want to buy a burner the best you could do is to rar the image file(s) into seperate archive with max size whatever u want such as 50mb peices, then split the peices between the cds.

    That's still going to take 6 CDs and the game won't be installable from the CDs. The contents would have to be extracted first.
