Great, now some of my games won't work !!!!!

virtual.cd.hide and/or Sr7-stop which i use to get some games going won't work
    virtual.cd.hide - option/hide all virtual drives (CAN'T turn on!!!)
    Sr7.stop - option/hide (NOTHING to hide!!!)
my games now ask for CD, where before they worked
i have all my ide cables still on - these games aren't starforce
have tried emulation all on or off
    ie. Battlefront2 & MotoGp3
tried uninstalling it to go back to a previous version
old version will not install as version4 has altered windows or something

P.S. - i've just checked the daemon forum
looks like i'm not the only one having problems
you either have to use sfnightmare to disable your ide cd/dvd drive
    or
    actually pull its leads off!

    I'll pass.
why have to go through the trouble of disabling/uninstalling ANYTHING?
and...you don't know for sure what all it dumps into your system,
unless you go all through your files & registry and know exactly what it has changed/added
let's face it, apps like Ad-aware, Pest Patrol, etc are nice, but none are perfect,
so I don't feel like intentionally installing adware into my pc,
Daemon can keep that shit, another decent freeware gone to shit

meh. Xilo just finished saying that the Daemon didn't provide enough virtuals,
that he/she uses up to 8 at a time
so it would seem that Daemon is lacking for someone like Xilo,
so basically your post was nonsense

    I think i have Daemon toold 4.03

Doesn't work. Still haven't really tried disconnecting my DVD-rom hardware though. Gotta try that then.

But i think the problem is the Starforce 3 protection still sees the Daemon tools virtual drive(O: on mine) as the drive playing the cd, and thus its sees its not a good drive and says i need to put it into another one.

NO virtual drive hiders or Starforce nightmare work though. And now that SFcure isn't working iether.

i just disconnected my DVD drive but my copmuter won't start afterwards. Its probably becasue my DVD-Rom is the boot device. Doesn't matter really.
