Thread: Pop Ups

    i've been getting one or two pop ups recently, usually when i'm runnin kazaa.
    they look like warning/error windows, but with lots of text with a website address on it and details.
    has anyone else came across this?

    apparantly this works for xp users if you are one of those

    go to control panel,open admin tools, go to services go to messenger double click on it and then choose stop,,

    tried this earlier and it worked okay until i put sp1 on when it was reset to started

    Windows 2000

    Click Start-> Programs-> Administrative Tools->Services
    Scroll down and highlight "Messenger"
    Right-click the highlighted line and choose Properties.
    Click the STOP button.
    Select Disable or Manual in the Startup Type scroll bar
    Click OK.

    Windows XP


    Click Start->Control Panel
    Click Performance and Maintenance
    Click Administrative Tools
    Double click Services
    Scroll down and highlight "Messenger"
    Right-click the highlighted line and choose Properties.
    Click the STOP button.
    Select Disable or Manual in the Startup Type scroll bar
    Click OK

    Windows NT

    Click Start ->Control Panel
    Double Click Administrative Tools
    Select Services-> Double-click on Messenger
    In the Messenger Properties window, select Stop,
    Then choose Disable as the Startup Type
    Click OK
    things are quiet until hitler decides he'd like to invade russia
    so, he does
    the russians are like "OMG WTF D00DZ, STOP TKING"
    and the germans are still like "omg ph34r n00bz"
    the russians fall back, all the way to moscow
    and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter
    the germans are like "wtf, h4x"
