    Jpeg2000 (lossless) is a good format
    but not yet supported by many apps

    Well you can't really "like" a pic format, each format is there for a reason...you use them for different occasions

    They're all good for different situations like seedler said.

    But...
    PNG for small images and web graphics (if you have the IE PNG fix javascript).
    GIF if no PNG fix for IE or if you want animated images.
    JPG is best for large images like screenshots or wallpapers.
    BMP is useless.
    I've never used TIF.
