I'm looking for a cheap wireless adapter for my new system, and since I can't get my USB 2.0 configured right, will using a USB 2.0 adapter on my USB 1.1 going to affect my transfer speed? I use 802.11 G.

Also, can someone please recommand a cheap wireless adapter, both USB and PCI?

Since USB1.1 operates at a maximum of 12Mbps and 802.11G in theory has a best case raw speed of 54Mbps then yes the USB connection could affect your transfer speed.
