How do you make a torrent?

How do you make a torrent so I can send some files to a friend just me and him?

Really important help greatly appreciated.

just create a torrent, and set the tracker to the following:

http://tracker.prq.to/announce

then give the torrent to your people
as long as you don't upload the torrent to any dump sites the only people in the swarm will be the people with a copy of the torrent.
you don't need to upload the torrent to the tracker, you just need to seed the torrent to activate them on the tracker
so don't forget to seed it

(utorrent has very easy "create torrent" options)

I tried it just keep sayin Connecting forever

im using bitcomet and im using the file - create torrent thing
and i also tried putting

into the thing saying tracker server and dht network node list

What do you mean "set the tracker"?

when you create a torrent, one of the settings that has to be set is tracker URL

For me, the best one is bitcomet, it's easy, so try with that one
