    Says you.

One game, here or there, maybe, but on the whole I'd rather watch a game of chess.

Can't stand the showin' off-football's getting almost as bad, and it'll break my heart to stop watching that.
What do you mean by "showin' off-football"? (confused)

Chess is ok to wind down but for me it's not "exciting".

I remember a coworker of mine that told me that basketball is boring. He couldn't even say why. This usually means he doesn't know the game. It's why I didn't like it, for sure.

His favorite sport on TV and otherwise is.....golf.

    Each his own, I guess.

I didn't mean to suggest I can't enjoy a good game, but good games (to me) are the exception, and when I think of how off into B-ball I used to be, and how much the game has changed...I guess I miss the old game.

I find, too, that my appreciation of baseball's nuances grows as I get older.

As to football, I can't stand T.O., Chad Johnson should shut up and play, and players should stop celebrating.

I don't mind enthusiasm, but Barry Sanders is a tough act to follow; he showed more class on the field than most.

Was this before or after his political career?

i didn't read the thread, i follow the games but i dl them from usenet so i'm always a bit behind. And games are more fun to watch when you don't know the score. Well that's the reason i didn't read the NBA threads atm
