    hey, my ip was 24.XXX.XX.XX for last couple fo years, and i was with the rogers company. however, for sum reason it changed to 72.XXX.XX.XX. i was wondering if this is normal or not. THanks

    since i am in canada, the 24.XXX.XX.XX showed that it is a candian ip adress, however, when i checked the location of 72.XXX.XX.XX it said that it was in calfornia. That is why i was worried.

    Your IP shows that it's rogers so you're fine.
    Mine is 69.xxx.xxx.xxx and i'm also on rogers.

    It's normal for the IP to change over time (unless you have a 'Static' ip), altho mine hasn't in almost 2 years because of my router.

    I have Comcast, and my ip only change if I do a mac clone on my router and reboot it.

    California? As long as it's not Death Valley, I think you should be allright.

    mind only changes if I lose power for a bit. Enough time for someone else to grab the ip. I think I've only had 3 or 4 ips for as long as I've had my cable internet, which is a few years.
