    OK somebody should know this. My computer hardware is thus: Local Disk (C), 3 1/2 Floppy (A), CD Drive (D) & DVD Drive (E). What & where is Device (B)? Thanks.

    B is reserved for floppy drive 2.

    Yup you guys are right. It's for those old 5 1/4'' floppy. They were truely floppies. They were bendable to a certain extent.

    B: can also be used for a second 3 1/2" floppy drive.

    A can also be used for a 5 1/2" floppy too.
    Edit: Or a tape drive or any other drive connected to the floppy cable.
