It's the new (pre)N standard, but I was only using a wireless g connection from me PC.

I was was getting speeds in excess of 1000 KB/s on usenet ce soir, seriously maxing out the connection. It peaked at just over 1200 KB/s.

I've seen a number of the routers with MIMO.

    I'm waiting for 802.11n before I upgrade.

Did you have problems after ntl upgraded your speed? I got disconnected every few mins after the upgrade for the first few days, mainly when someone browsed my files on the soulseek. Took several days of speaking to a stupid cow over the phone(the girlfriend has her uses) before they agreed to send a man out and give me half price internet for 3 months.

Not every few minutes, but we did have probs after the upgrade. It seemed to be when I used usenet and bittorrent fastly, at the same time.

I think they may have put the upgrade in place before they had the infrastructure / servers to cope with it.

At about the same time two of our cable boxes kind of died, so we got a chap out to replace them, which was nice.

The upgrade is the main reason I got the new router, to take advantage of the new speeds. What with me dowloading like a mentalist and four other computery things using the interweb it seemed like a good idea.
