PS2 Game Rebuilding

Hey everyone, I was just wondering. When do you need to rebuild a game? Is it just for games over 4.7 GBS that wont fit on a regular DVD? Or do you always have to rebuild them?

most scene releasers rebuild (the correct term is ripping) a game when its on a DVD9 disc, that is greater than those 4.7GB dvdr (known as DVD5) discs. Some games like burnout 3 for the ps2 have a copy protetion, but you can get through this by creating a dummy file...
