IE Help

I have recently just reinstalled Windows XP Pro wth SP2 and now i have a problem with internet Explorer. The problem is when I try to get on it it takes like 5 mins to come up and load on my desktop so i can use it. Then if i try to log on to a secure sie like to check a account or something it won't let me load the page. Can any one help fix IE so it is running correctly and I can access all websites.

Disable your firewall and try again, it might be blocking it.

If not, try reinstalling IE.
