Do You Guys Know Of...

Well here's the story...
Lately i've been getting much higher pings on some of the online games i play...
and i know its not the game rates and stuff cause there all good...
i was wondering if you's knew of a program that shows which processes are using an internet connection... or even better if there was a way of viewing it without having to download anything...

Well first off, if your using XP, open up the Task Manager and goto the Networking tab. Now you will see "Network Utilization" at the bottom. This should normally be 0% when your not running any Internet processes such as downloads or loading a webpage. With all your Internet apps closed, if you noticed the "Network Utilization" starts to show a lot of activity, then you may have spyware or some other hidden application that's stealing your bandwidth.

Yeah thats the first place i looked...
but it's extreamly weird because it has no movement in the line...
but when i go online to play it goes crazy...
so what i'm saying is the bandwith is only effected when i'm playing...
i'm stumped...

Does it occur with all your online games?

yep... all of em'
but when i get out of a game and download a file from the net, boom i'm downin it at 50+ kb/s
