To import images into your logo, it has to be of a WMF or EMF file extension. Does anyone now of a small, free program to convert GIFs into this file type?

    No, unfortunately, they don't

If you save it in Paint as "something.wmf" WITH the quotation marks it's a fine file, just as a GIF would be name.gif it's name.wmf

Then in Xara it says the file is invalid

I downloaded Graphic Convertor 4 and sucessfully created a WMF. Then when I try to import it into Xara 3D, I am greeted with the following message:

    What's going on?

Not true. If you are trying to add an image like in my signature you don't 'import' them.
The image in my case was a .bmp extention. All I did was add it as a texture.
