Ask him if they don't work then will he take them back? If so then take them and "test" them.
On Newegg they're ~$115 incl s&h new. Whats the guy charging for shipping & insurance? That +$90 is your true cost. If he's charging $10 shipping & insurance. Then you're saving $15. Your choice.

If it's a friend of yours, who you trust. Go for it. Although new RAM some can be cheaper & still good. But not with OCZ rep. afaik.
