I use Cogeco Cable with 10mb/s connection. Cogeco has a 30 GB month bandwidth limit on my account.

Usually when I exceed way above 30 GB they don't do anything, but just yesterday when i probably hit 30 GB again my internet was down for maybe an hour, then back online. Whenever my internet connection is active for longer than like 2 hours, I get disconnected. needless to say, I'm really annoyed.

Is there a way to uncap the bandwidth cap or something?

Boy 30g sucks I thought Rogers was bad with 100g. Not much use having 10meg service with a 30g cap.Kind of like owning a porsche but being stuck in a 40km school zone for life LOL

I thought the UK's NTL 75GB was bad,30gig is plain stoopid.
How much you paying for it?
Down load Netmeter, free internet usage tracker,it'll help ya keep track.

Well, the only other ISP provider I can use is Bell which uses ADSL through a phoneline with unlimited bandwidth.

Me and maebach both use cogeco i believe, and there's 3 different service:

High speed lite: $29.95 CAD/month with 300kb/s connection and 2 GB bandwidth cap

High speed standard: $44.95 CAD/month with 5mb/s and 15 GB bandwidth cap

High speed pro: $69.95 CAD/month with 10mb/s and 30 GB bandwidth cap

I'm using the high speed pro on a deal, for $49.95 for 6 months with no contract.

I'm thinking of switching to bell, but is lets say a 5mb/s ADSL connection slower than a 5mb/s cable modem connection?

i have a 40GB cap on my 2mb broadband im always going over it. So far BTYahoo havent done anything but im sure they will too. I really want unlimited but im not the one to make the decision...I living with parents (im 18) so its dads choice!
I was looking at eclipse as they have unlimited 2mb (8mb coming soon) and they have no fair usages policy!sounds great! £29.99 for 2mb though...which is what we are paying for BT at the moment so its not to bad

That's like asking if 5lb of feathers is lighter than 5lb of metal.
