Not much of a fan of winter sports, altho' I used to ski til I went to uni, then my parents stopped paying so I couldn't afford it - now I can afford it but seem to have forgotten how.

Start with the wedge again. Tbh, you won't forget something like that. That would be like forgetting to ride a bike or swim.

I was a fearless skier when I was younger. Now I could less. Last time I skied it was about 5 years ago on my timeshare in southern New York and was still decent.

And yes motherfucker I was bored. Piss off.

I spent 2 glorious weeks in Canadia in 2001 skiing, and that was the last time I went. Once you've skied there, going back to the Alps just doesn't cut it any more. The powder is so much better. Unfortunately, it costs so much more to get there

I also used to love ice-skating, I never was any good, just managing to keep my balance while hurtling round a rink as fast as possible... we used to catch the train to Nottingham; they've got an excellent rink there.

I might watch some of the winter olympics, but I don't even know what sort of TV coverage the BBC gives them any more. I mean, Eddie the Eagle isn't doing the ski-jump anymore is he?

I hate to resort to forum colloquialisms, but I must:

    The Winter Olympics RAWK!

    Even curling.

    Luge, hockey, speedskating, skiing....good stuff.

It sucks how the AMericans are the best at almost every sport in the olympics. Even in swimming that phelps guy beat the australians.

my favourite sport in the winter olympics, is the speed skating.
