    I'm currently looking to buy a new ram stick for my PC and ive found one that seems a good price etc etc...

    but how can i tell thats its compatible with my PC and my motherboard.

    this is a rather n00bish question but i simply dont know

    Read the specifications of your motherboard. It has the RAM requirements listed.
