It should hook up, you could of kept this in one thread... no need to make two. Anyways.. do you have the router hooked up properly? What kind is it?

    ffs......

you hook the router to the modem
then the PCs to the router

do both PCs have wireless cards?
    I'm guessing no...

what you need plain and simple is another wireless card
then you hook the router to the modem,
then you tell the NICs to connect to the router

    Dear Mr. President...

Please provide the make and model of the devices involved. Tell us what you're trying to do. In detail. Remember that we cannot see what you are doing.

The only thing I can think of here is to tell you that you shouldn't have any PC connected to the modem. The router gets connected to the modem and then all PCs connect to the router only.

    Stick to one thread.

do all wireless routers come with integrated ethernet switches now?
    that's a serious question BTW....

because if he didn't have an ethernet port on the router....
and only one pc with a wireless card....
how in hell's name would he get a connection to a wireless router
w/o a wireless card on the other pc?
(minus x-over cables and interweb sharing pish)

    Now?

I've never come across one that doesn't have at least one lan-side ethernet or usb port. The simple reason is that if you can't connect to it via wireless then you can't configure it, so you can never connect to it, so you can never configure it, so you.....

Political correctness is based on the principle that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
