Very new... very stupid

Anyone feel like helping a girl out? Limewire sucks for dowloading movies and some of my guy friends have recommended some pretty complicated prgrams to get movies.... I dont know what to do.. or what is safest or free, all i know is limewire sucks for downloading movies, and my computer skills are pretty low. help?? suggestions?

Torrents are THE best for downloading movies.

Just get Download utorrent or some other client go into bittorrent section and find some nice sites and start downloading!
As simple as that..

Btw limewire sucks for downloading everythig EXCEPT downloading songs! I beilive LW is the best way to download songs..

with newsgroups you have better speeds.

Agreed.
I think for a beginner newsgroups might be hard to understand tho...plus if she wants to get older stuff that isnt posted to newsgroups then she will need bittorrent anyway.

Let me make a pretty irrelevant quastion: Do Torrent sites get newer movie realeases before newsgroups?
If yes then torrents would might just be a better choice..

@IKE: I agree completely that newsgroups give you higher speeds but torrents i think will give her larger varity of movies especially if she manage to get to a good private torrent site..

Besides Like roscco said for a newbie newsgroups may be a little hard to get along...
