I've unchecked a lot of uninstalled Spyware, but is there anyway to remove the listing totally from the list?

I HOPE you already use Spybot S&D for your spyware and shit, so in that case you can use it's autorun tool (advanced mode) to completely erase things. Probably the fastest and easiest way than downloadin more crap.

If you want to get a comprehensive autorun removal tool, I (along with a lotta others) suggest Autoruns, which you can get in any of these places:

    http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4686.html
    http://www.webattack.com/get/autoruns.html
    http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail...s/1092024321/1

Just make sure it's the recent 8.43, there are lots of 4.xx versions circulating.

I HOPE you're not saying Spybot is the know all/end all of spyware protection.
Don't get me wrong, it was nice, back in like, 2003-2004.
Then it fell off in the support dept. I hear it's back w/ better support.
That's nice. But I prefer to rely on more consistent programs.
Who knows when the dude will go on another hiatus?

    Another thought....
Have you actually tried the app that Barbarossa linked to?
Or are you just shooting comments out of your ass implying that it's crap?
Oh wait, but then you linked to another....ummm...what was it?
    Oh yeah...."comprehensive"....program.
But....wouldn't that be downloading more crap?

I never use the msconfig utility its crap way too risky . So many apps today have a start up utility that is a lot safer Ccleaner , System Mech. , Regcleaner you name it . But will have to try Barbarossa's link I love trying new programs anyway thanks Barb .

Its free too ? Some times the freebies are better , like Spybot in its time . Mind you Spybot has a start up program too .

Ouch taken down. lol chill man I wasn't attacking anybody.
Spybot is good and it should be part of a person's toolkit; I assumed it would be part of vamp's. I use probably 5-6 programs but spybot is still in there.

No, I didnt try barbarossa's link. I wasn't implying it was crap; I was implying that if you already had spybot it's easier to just go to its tools and delete from there than have to download extra things. Then I said if you WANT to download separate utility, you could try autoruns...since it's been recommended a lot, is freeware, and IS comprehensive.

So plz don't infer about things I didn't actually write. Props to barbarossa that proggie looks good too.

    blah....don't take it personal
that's just me being me after a long day in the office (IS dept.) ,
a Monday of all days, dealing with unbelievable amounts of bullshit

"My computer is making a noise. Please fix it."

It's the fan. It's like, minus-15-decibles, how is that a problem?
Oh it is a problem? Shall we shut it off and fry all the components?
Good, you have no place near a computer in the first place.

"I need <enter random application here> on my PC."

The company does not own a license to that software.
Speak with your supervisor about submitting a request to purchase the licensing.

    5 minutes later.....

    "So-and-so needs <enter random application here> on his/her PC.
Why has it not been installed? We need <enter random application here>,
to efficiently run <enter random task here>.
It is a waste of my time to be continually dealing with these issues."

Read the prior reply asshole. We don't have it. We need to purchase it.
    Or here's a better idea....why don't I just obtain an illegal copy,
install that, and get the company sued for millions? Dumbass.

"I can't receive any E-mails from clients. It says something about exceeding disk space."

Yes, it's pretty self-explanatory. But if you want me to elaborate...
We have a finite amount of storage space. We don't shit terabytes, that would be nice,
it would save the company money, but it's impossible.
So....how about you delete the 267,000 spam e-mails you have stored on the server,
and maybe then your clients can contact you.

So as you can see....a day dealing with nonsense like this can piss anyone off.

HAHA! Wow you seriously need to either record those or post more in it's own thread, those are just amazing. I've got a buddy that works at a tech support place, he tells me it's hell too...I can imagine. Good luck xD
