    i am connected to the net through a proxy server.a week ago my torrent client(BitSpirit) was working fine but now it isnt downloading.I just see the number of available peers with no peers connected.I heard that proxy server administrator has blocked the torrent ports...is there any way out???...guys plz help me out.....

    change your port to something in the area of 49000 to 64000.

    I did set the port b/w 49000 to 64000 but still it doesnt solve the problem...error msg was forbidden by the proxy server..the same msg was with the random ports.

    change your port to 80

    setting the port to 80 returned the same msg....
    Start Listening at TCP Port:80
    Start Listening at UDP Port:80
    Proxy request failed - HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden
    Proxy request failed - HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden..

    I tried to use the Your Freedom tunneling client but it gave vero slow speed,max @ 5KB/Sec.so plz tell me if there is any other tunneling client better than your freedom???
    or any other port or somthing like that???
    or if there is any bittorrent client which can bypass the proxy server by itself???
    any kind of input will be appreciated

    if you use azureus or utorrent you can encrypt the headers. I read somewhere that that could help with torrent ports being blocked, but I dont know any more than that.
