    At the rate that HD content has prevaded Newsgroups (coupled with ever increasing broadband speeds) and the continued ease of use of programs like Grabit in the last year that assertion will start to sound hollow.

    It isn't now though. If the twats start shutting down sites with those files then your assertion will start to hollow.

    Why do I need to use a Divx player (in standard definition)?

    Edit: Also, no-one is about to shut down any site "with those files", they might (and I stress 'might') shut down the indexing sites.

    newsgroups > tivo since i get to watch all the latest shows from the states months before i would ever see them over here.

    alt.binaries.hdtv is a pretty busy group these days. Its just a shame no bugger this side of the pond really has a hdtv.
