He's full of shit. Now I know he's a crackhead and a drunk.
I haven't suggested he didn't get "preferential treatment" compared to how you or I would be treated. I was pointing to the faux outrage of the right wing pundits and that he got the same treatment any other lawmaker gets. I have already stated that I don't agree that they should be "let off"

If he was driving under the influence of anything that adversly affects his physical ability to drive then he should be charged with the appropriate traffic law, addiction is not a defense.

it’s an election with no Democrats, in one of the whitest states in the union, where rich candidates pay $35 for your votes. Or, as Republicans call it, their vision for the future.

I am not afflicted with outrage over this, faux or otherwise; a quick read of my post will reveal a mere poke at his recollection, followed in short order by his non-recollection and plans to become incommunicado, and my view that it summons memories of his father's hilarious soft-shoe routine in '69.

I haven't seen much outrage on anyone's part yet-just a healthy ration of incredulity.

I think any sort of expression of outrage over Kennedy-behavior generally indicates a certain naivete.

In other words, vid, you are overreacting, big-time...just like a liberal.

Are you a right wing pundit? I mentioned them by name, are you a ghost writer? Do you think Carley Simon wrote a song about you ?

    Yes-

    An ace, in fact.

    And you are a liberal.

A true independent would find himself on my side of the fence at least occasionally.

I am resigned to seeing you striped with the intervening pickets of your ideology.

BTW-ridicule and outrage are two different things, and you often mistake one for the other.

I only called you a liberal, what's the big deal?

If you've said Kennedy should be charged, you've gone further than I have.

I haven't done anything except have fun at his expense, and I couldn't care less if he's charged or not, 'cuz he's a Kennedy, fruit of Teddy's loins.

Life would be no fun at all without a flock of Kennedys to have a jape over now and then.

I don't expect you to agree with my point, but there you are.

Now young Patrick says he was with a woman he cannot identify but who can vouch for his sobriety on "that night".

He hasn't said whether he's regained his memory in order to remember this, uh.....fact.

Perhaps he did not know he was (1) sober, or (2) with a woman, and she, in a Kennedyesque fit of altruistic behavior, somehow apprised him of the fact while he is speeding (hopefully he is being driven) toward Rochester and the Mayo rehab facility.

    More news tomorrow, I'm sure...

    Hmmm.

    You sound outraged.

    Are you outraged?

I think (according to vid) that makes you a neocon, or some such.
