Thread: The rise of 'http' p2p?

  1. #1
    With several big free file hosters like rapidshare, megaupload etc, there are several forums out there that are sharing full movies, games, apps and whatnot available from all major p2p's like bittorrent or e-mule.
    Some examples include -

    [Links Removed]

    Holy crap Batman! Links to warez sites!
    Not only do they rip the latest WWE eps in high quality format for download almost right after a day they air, they have seperate section for movies, porn, games and music where you can find lots of stuff hosted of rapids and mega's.

    What do you think of this sudden uprise of this kind of sharing? It may not classify as p2p, but it sure it an attractive offer over Bittorrent if the file is available for download. No sharing + full high speed downloads.

    Btw, also post any other place you know which deals with this kind of http sharing..(like i posted above so we can compile a huge big list .... )

    Please don't post links to websites that have warez/full games/movies/etc.

    On topic: I think it's great... even though most sites like RapidShare have limits (that you can get around), most of the time it's a lot easier to use them.

    @DanB
    Lately my downloads from RapidShare start and finish successfully... at amazing speeds too.

    I grabbed around 7 gigs of PSX games, all from sites like RapidShare, SendSpace, etc.

    i mainly use them for apps but thats it. I can never be bothered with proxies etc and dont wanna pay for an account on rapidshare etc so i dont use them for much else. It is nice to have the extra method of downloads though.

    Its just easier to use torrents with like a private tracker. I always max out my speed.

    I never ever get speeds over 310kb/sec downloading from BT or directly from websites... using 3mbps DSL.

    Look at that, a solid speed of 330kb/sec+.

    Aside from the 1 hour wait, RapidShare rocks.
