    I'm trying to install and update for the first time the bitorrent client uTorrent, but Norton keeps popping up an endless amount of 'Security Alerts'. Anyone know how to fix this?

    disable norton for a minute, update, then enable it again.
    or just download it from the homepage

    I'd suggest using a different anti-virus like Kaspersky myself, though what j0hn said should do the trick.

    i also suggest trying a different firewall too, my fav is Outpost!

    ppl recommended outpost to me, but its not really good for use with multiple windows user accounts, or maybe i set it up wrong
    the control panel was only accessible on the account thats 1st started

    I use kerio and nod never a problem here
