    Question Mark

Well, I used AVD video to capture frames from a video which i converted into an animated gif (100x100 pixels)....and it turned out to be 2.28mb

any good programs out there that will reduce that size and is easy to use? I say easy to use because it seems some progs out there that iv'e tried make u save each frame then recompile it (which i have no clue how to) and considering there are 100's of frames.. ya u get the picture.

To clarify, its for my avatar, so (i cant remember if this is the correct file size limit on this board) i need to shrink it down to 195kb (unless its already 100x100?).

I've tried the online versions, but they only let u upload filesizes to be optimized that are under 200kb or so.

Anyone know what to do? And if its some complicated procedure, would it be alright if I pm'ed (whoever that may be an expert at this please post) the person w/ the animated gif so he/she would be as kind to shrink it for me. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

edit: i uploaded it to photobucket, it automatically reduced size for me but by doing so, it cut out like 98% of the other frames, there are only 4 frames that loop, any ideas?

Is there not something you can set in AVD video to reduce the number of frames in the resultant gif?

When this happens to me I find myself manually having to delete every other frame or something, but I've never had one with that many frames to start with.

Jasc Animation Shop has a nice "cull frames" option that enables you to get rid of a set number of frames automatically.
