50 real push-ups in one set.
More if I do those short shit fast push-ups that people do when they claim to do 100+.

I guess I could do the 50,
but Im very shure I would get hurt... badly.
When I tried weights, I got hurt from my shoulder.
Not good.
Eh? Get off the nuts. 50 is not a lot.Originally Posted by manker
It's just that most of the time when I see either a person on TV to the fella in my crew at work claiming to do 100, they do them super fast and never really push their torso up to any height. It's like when I see fellas doing bench presses that never barely get the bar down to their chest then back up counting that as 1.
A friend of mine who was lifting free weights on his biceps but cheats by using his back and shoulders to lift then claims he does 60 reps with a 45 pound weight. (he's still a strong motherfucker though)
Real push-ups? Pff...Originally Posted by Busyman™

Been working out for a year now. 3-5 days a week.
I can do 30 nonstop...ass flat, chin touch ground push-ups. (solid form)
Then, I can do about 2-3 more sets giving me about 90-120 overall.
I'm voting for the 100++ cause no one said these had to be "non-stop" lol.
The reality is, 100 nonstop push-ups takes "ALOT" of endurance. Most people talk a big game and collapse somewhere between 15-35 or so. Even guys who can lift two-three times their weight on a bench or run 4 miles non-stop can barely do push-ups without practicing push-ups. The exercise is in a league of it's own.
