    Here's the situation:
I've got a 46gb torrent 89% completed. I want it to stop downloading and only upload for now. Does anybody know a way that I can do this? For one, 0 is unlimited and setting the max dl rate to 1 drops the upload rate to basically 0, defeating the purpose. I want the upload rate to stay where it, an average of around 80kb/s and the dl rate to go to 0 from an average of around 270kb/s.

Anyone know what I can do?

    40Mbit DL / 10Mbit UL

ur download rate shouldnt affect ur upload rate (as far as i know)
bittorrent works the other way round, rewarding ur upload with better download.
    which client do u use?

the same happens with me. but it's maybe because you have already seeded what you downloaded to the other users and can seed only the new bits, so i'm not sure if it's the fault of utorrent.
