read over this review/benchmark to get a little bit more knowlegable in the intel game and amd64 is just dominating the intel cpu's. those intel chips overheat, less than par in games, & to much wattage consumption. ppl buy intel chips?

Yes they do and when the new Conroe chips are released (June or so?) Intel may take back the lead.
Or the AM2 platform may be better than AMD has been letting on (although why they'd want to hide their light under a basket is beyond me).
So who knows?
Right now, sitting on a nice s939 setup looks like the best place to be.
