Thread: IDE transfer setting

    in BIOS i noticed that the IDE drives i got can be set as 32bit but right now there set as 12bit, woundering what u guys use and can changing to 32bit make the harddrive heat up more or any thing? (i googled and a site said it can make the pc abit faster)

    It won't cause your drives to heat up any more but my question is why didn't autodetect set them as 32bit? How old is this computer or hard drive?
