How to be " Safer " at Internet cafe's

If you’re using a public computer, you’re unsafe. You’ll be at the risk of losing your personal information.
Avoid at all costs doing any banking buying, extremly vital personal info etc etc in internet cafes.
The below will help you be "safer" but not safe.

(all are stand alone - no install needed)

SIMPLE

1 DELETE HISTORY BEFORE STARTING : Before going onto the web (ie etc), clean the history, tracing cookies etc of other users with
Privacy Keeper this one works most of the time in cafes, and is very efficient. Make sure no browsers are open.
Here are screenshots of items it will clean - in IE, Firefox and Windows.

2. USE YOUR OWN BROWSER : Through your Usb stick start browsing either with Portable Firefox or Opera@USB , these will keep your browsing habits within your key and not on their machine. Plus you can have your browser set up with all your settings, bookmarks etc.

3. DELETE HISTORY WHEN FINISHED :When finished browsing and are ending your session at the cafe run the Privacy Keeper to wipe your history.

a. Privacy Keeper yes i have tried CCleaner but have experienced errors in most cafes, this one works most of the time, and is very efficient. Make sure no browsers are open.
Here are screenshots of items it will clean - in IE, Firefox and Windows, you can set it to clean more..

b. Manually empty history.. thats another story.. clear cache etc

2. KILL NASTY PROCESSES by,
a. Run Hijackthis and let these three sites One Two Three scan your log for processes you should kill (doing it through HijackThis will require a reboot, which may not be possible in most cafes)
so then
b. Kill the processes by either opening TaskManager (ctrl alt del or right clik taskbar). Most cafes will have taskmanager locked hence, i suggest using
Process Explorer to do the same, it is stand alone.

3. SCAN FOR KEYLOGGERS
Check if there is a keylogger with Key Logger Detector, if there is one detected then you know 100% not to put in vital info, if there isnt a keylogger detected then your still Not safe, cause new keyloggers are made everyday. If there is a keylogger, it will most probably be difficult to uninstall, remove etc, it will most probably not be shown in taskmanager. JL Detector does not remove keyloggers.
