Does anybody else get this ??? When I get an NZB from Newzbin sometimes the downloads are text files. Does anybody know how to resolve this problem without spending more money.

you are downloading files over ur retention..

*retention means how long the files are stored in the news-server before it gets deleted forever for newer files..its like trying to download files that is not on your server anymore..most isp server have a retention of 1-2 days*

Some of them have only just been put on and they still come as text files. It's only some of the servers like alt.binaries.boneless - alt.binaries.comp - alt.binaries.b4e - alt.binaries.nl

    binaries are text files.
Whatever client you are using isn't decoding them.

I use grabit and haven't had a problem.

Check the list of groups available from your server - you'll find that it doesn't carry the groups you're getting the *.txt files from.
