    Unless I'm mistaken, you can't

The PS2 can only read DVD's and CD-R Audio tracks.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but short of converting the file and burning onto DVD there's no way.

Actually, you can play dvd-r's on there. i found that out recently and you dont need the add on. the only problem is every ten minutes or so the screen would skip and the sound would be off with the lips. but you can easily fix it by just tapping the fast forward button...

as for regular cd-rs. you cant play them in a ps2 period, not even audio cds, atleast not mine. And you need a mod chip to run cd-rs on there. Sorry, but thats just the way things are. Another way i have not tested but plan on doing so is the swap method. never tried it but i think you can find it at www.megagames.com

The PS2 has no way to tell if it's a copied CD, you know albums are written onto CDR's, just before they get to you. You possibly mean CD-RW's, which some CD players can't play either.
