Can anyone tell me why I keep getting this error "not all recipients received the message this could be due to an invalid computer name."

I looked up the name of a computer and found myself and another computer of mine when I send a message I get the above error. Can anyone help?

Im sorry I didn't explain good enough. I did manage to figure it out but for people that don't know and that have Lan. You can send messeges to people without downloading anything because it is built in windows xp.

Instruction: Right Click Mycomputer/Manage/Right Click Management/ All Tasks/ Send Console Message. Now Find the name of another computer connected to your network. Click Add/ Advanced / Find Now. Once you have found the name, click it and press ok. Type up a message and send the other computer will get an instant message popup.

ohh, you can also go start -> run -> type 'net send IP OR COMPNAME message'
    example: 'net send 192.168.0.2 test'

The Windows Messaging service may be turned off, as it is by default with SP2.
