First off you do have 2.0 or below don't you? That's the only firmware you can actually downgrade

i've got a crazy dilemma. do i download the rocoloco demo which comes with a patch to stop the GTA exploit, or wait, just incase something good comes out that uses it.

Don't download, there was a video i saw yesterday that someone used a trick that allowed him to play Rocoloco on a 2.7 from the memory stick.
