After a little research (typing eon8 into google), I have found the followin things.

According to a few forums, it looks like its some sort of marketing tool for a game or electronic device, sorta reminds me of what bungie did for halo. Alot of people are just saying that its some sort of hoax, to see how many people will visit it.
