on my dads laptop, IE crashes very quickly. As soon as you open IE, it loads the page, but before the page fully loads it closes. Any tips? On the other account on my dads laptop, it works fine. Thats the really weird thing.

I've seen google toolbar corrupt IE before. Does he have that installed?

try disabling the toolbar and see if that fixes the problem. Right click IE from desktop/start menu choose internet options > advanced tab > untick "enable third-party browser extensions"
If you can start it o.k. then the toolbar is causing problems.
