    tweak ur utorrent settings

    i use:
    global max connections: 150
max number peers per torrent: 70
number of upload slots per torrent: 4

    also, protocol encryption: enabled
    allow incoming legacy connections: checked

try those settings, or something similar
most novice users set crazy numbers like 99999999999
    each connection wastes vital bandwidth.

failing that, hunt down the seeds, break into their house, and make them send faster

The utorrent forums is an excellent resource if you're having problems or go onto their irc channel for live support, very helpful people there. Bailed me out a couple times

Also use lvlords tcp/ip patch and change max half open connections to 50 and in advanced options in utorrent do the same.

This is the best tweak i know of for utorrent and it definately helps.

also make sure you forward the port you're using with your torrent client in your router settings. this is the most common problem when people are having problems with slow speeds.
