windows xp question

i just bought a second hand laptop and dont want to reload. Question is when you go into "Documents and Setting" it has two folders one is "All users" the other one is called "Elaine". My question is can the folder "Elaine" be rename some way or not any help is needed thanks to you guys for any help.

If you have created a diffrent profile, and have deleted the "Elaine" profile, You may safely delete that folder.. Be warned that there about 4-10 files there that M$ makes very difficult to delete.. Please make sure you can see hidden files, see Protected System files and have your system set a restore point before you really delete them in-case something stupid happens..

You can edit those options in "My Computer" > Tools > Folder Options.

You could change your name. That would fix it. Seriously, if you want to avoid reregistering XP just live with it.

Elaine was not very smart , kind but not smart . You never sell used Computers with your info on it . Wipe it out first when " you sell it " The O/S is their problem .
