Thread: DVD Problem ( Didn't really know where to post it )

  1. #1
Well I downloaded this movie from Bitcomet and downloaded subtitles
that match to the movie ( works well on the computer when I play it ).

I got a DivX reader DVD which should be able to play subtitles
( or at least thats what he says ).

When I burned the movie and subtitles to the disc it only shows
the movie without the subtitles, but it writes the subtitles are playing..

    wierd? yup.

Is there a diffrent way I should burn it? should it just work?
    Thanks for the help

What file extension does the subtitle file have?

Most DVD players only support .sub or .srt

Make sure the subtitle file has the same name as the video file.

Its not a normal DVD its just a movie file and subtitles..
The subtitles format is .srt I'll try and change it to .sub

the wierd thing is that it recognizes the subtitles just doesn't show
them.. could it be because I burned it on a normal CD and not DVD?

If you can select the subtitles its should be alright. But i doubt that changing the file type will do any good lol. Why would you need than converters if this was soo easy. My divx/dvd player is very old and i could always start my subtitles, still works and it was really cheap, almost for free. But well it could be also a firmware problem, thats only if you have never upgate it. I have hundreds of CDs and DVDs and all works fine for me. There is one more thing, maybe the one that wrote the subtitles, fucked it up, its better to check every subtitle with bsplayer before you burn it.
