Super Dvd Ripper

when i rip the dvd it always turns out to be in a box shape. not wide screen. i set the resolution size to be 740 by 540 but still its a box, i'm converting from dvd to avi.

any suggestions.

Goto http://www.doom9.org/ or http://www.dvdrhelp.com/. The best rippers are SmartRipper or DVD Decrypter. Encoding is another long story. The above sites will have all the encoding answers.

i havnt got a dvd rewriter, therefore i want to copy it to a cd-r. what program shouldi use ?????

You do not need a DVD Writer to rip the DVD. However, you do need a DVD drive to read the DVD disk!

Super Dvd Ripper encodes to VCD directly. Checkout DVDhelp for other VCD encoders.
