Convert .doc To .pdf

Hey, a new world to play around in!

Anyway, is there any way to convert to convert .doc or .rtf formats into .pdf? I'm guessing it's a whole different thing so probably not, but just thought I'd ask.

To make PDFs you have to own the version of Acrobat that you have to pay for. Is that what you are asking about, the professional edition of Acrobat?

I guess it is, I'm not really sure. If I get it, can I just copy and paste a Word document into Acrobat to get a .pdf file?

I don't know how professional Adobe works so I am sorry I can't help you. I have heard that it has that capability.

Adobe Acrobat can open files as .PDFs, and if for some reason it's not able to, you can "print" any document using the Adobe Distiller Printer, which will make it a .PDF for you.

you can use Openoffice's Writer.it can open doc files as well as its own file format and convert them to pdf files .

This works pretty nice.
We use it at work for a cheaper alternative to Acrobat.
They got a free version that displays some sponsor links or something.
I'd get you a full registered version, but I happen to like my job too much to steal from 'em.
