Maybe if you are brilliant you could jump from Captain to Colonel. It is not a Major problem

If you did your research you'd realize that the equivalent rank of a Colonel in the Army/Air Force is referred to as a Captain in the Navy, this goes for the USN, and the Royal Navy as well. Here:

Hope that clears it up, I don't plan on just "bypassing" the Major rank (in this case Lt. Commander), when I say Captain I mean Colonel.
