Im using utorrent and have a BT voyager 205 modem.
I followed a guide, and i opened ports up correctly.
Currently using port 12549.
I have a problem tho. Speeds go great for a while, then about every 5 minutes they go down to zero, and my net stops for about 25 seconds then starts up again.
Why is this, can some one help ? Thanks

Could be just heavy traffic with your isp or something,How many people are leeching if its like 500 or something then you can expect this to happen.
Do you know what the best settings are for utorrent ?

Options > Preferences > Bit Torrrent ...try to change max number of connections or max number of peers per torrent... It's not a bad idea also to have less active torrents...

In that case use the uTorrent "Speed guide" Ctrl+G
