Ahhhh but if you don't have HD you suck. I remember someone on here (from the UK) saying that HD only gives a small improvement over regular TV.

They obviously don't have an HDTV.

I'm assuming HD will be in full force in the UK and such before the PS3 hits?

True dat. I've been seeing 32" widescreen LCD HDTVs for about $700.

That's my next step up for my office.

However, the best thing for gaming is a big screen (50' or larger). Seeing that size that screen in HD clarity is just fucking amazing.

My modded Xbox upconverts DVDs to HD but it doesn't do it the best.

In a coupla days I'ma get the Oppo DVD player for that.

I bought a 42" Samsung LCD about 2 months ago. I'm not willing to fork over $600 for a game console though.

I'll give PS3 a year or two, then I'll buy it. I just don't play many games. I might get involved with one new game per year.
