Mohaa: Spearhead Expansion Not Working Right

I have downloaded mohaa and its expansion, installed all patches, gotten the latest nocd fix, but after it loads up all the pak files and execs default.cfg i get an error stating "Tried to read from a zip file buildver.cfg that was not open" if anyone has been able to correct this problem (or maybe im the only one with it) could u please help me because i would like to play this.

try this:

create 2 new files in ur 'mainta' folder, named buildver.cfg and autoexec.cfg

i tried this, it got past the small dialog, then it went into a gray screen and froze.
